Please reach us at  if you cannot find an answer to your question.

The Boise Holiday Parade is the first Saturday in December.

The parade starts at 10 a.m. and lasts about two hours.

The parade route begins at Jefferson and 8th street.

Yes, the parade is free. Be sure to bring your chairs and blankets to sit on!

Bring as little as possible!  We ask that you limit what you bring in order not to crowd other spectators. Bring chairs or blankets to sit on. Keep in mind that you will want to get there early in order to get a good seat. In a nutshell, bring yourself and your family, a camera or phone, something to sit on, and a “happy holidays” attitude!

Wear whatever is comfortable! Sensible shoes are always the right choice for the parade. Also, keep in mind Idaho weather can be unpredictable so stay tuned to the forecast the week of the parade. Some years the parade has been bitterly cold and other years it was very warm! Whatever the weather, come prepared.

No food will be offered at the parade. Participants in the parade will sometimes hand out candy. However, there are several delicious restaurants close by in downtown Boise you can check out!
